Everyone wants to be perfect so that no one can judge their flaws or point out their weaknesses, but do you really think perfection exists? Everyone knows no one is perfect in this world, and everyone carries flaws and traits.

A shortcut to living a happy life is by embracing your flaws and accept the way you are. Here are some key points that will help you to embrace your flaws:

1. Accept Your Flaws

The most important thing is to accept your flaws, and then take action to improve them. Sometimes, we consider our small issue as a big one, so try to avoid small issues, if they are not bothering you because may be that issue doesn’t consider by others as big as you consider.

2. Jot Down Your Flaws

You can create a list of your flaws that bother you the most because if you are avoiding those flaws, then they can also affect your life in the future, so it is important to accept your weaknesses and make efforts to change them, if necessary. Try to find out a solution to your flaws. You can list your strengths and flaws so that you can look after your flaws which need your attention. :- Mohit Tandon

3. Don’t Compare Yourself To Others

If you are comparing yourself with others, which means you are making yourself upset and demotivated. Everyone has their own unique qualities and flaws, so instead of comparing your weaknesses with other’s qualities, you must sharpen your qualities and eliminate your weaknesses. So, be yourself the way you are, you don’t need to change yourself if your flaws don’t bother you.

4. Try To Overcome Your Flaws

Sometimes, our flaws start bothering us, so at that time, we need to take a step to overcome them because before they get worse, they need to be eliminated or changed. However, while working on your flaws, you need to take baby steps, don’t hyper, and just do it for yourself. Everyone knows you can’t get skills overnight, you have to make efforts for them, Mohit Tandon says.

5. Utilize Your Flaws For Self-Improvement

Accepting your flaws doesn’t mean that you are going to avoid them, but you can change your flaws for self-improvement. Sometimes, your flaws give you an opportunity to work on them and justify yourself.

6. Don’t Use Negative Self-Talk

When inner-critic starts demotivating you, is called negative self-talk, so try to avoid it because it can misguide you. When you continuously think about your drawbacks, insecurities, and flaws, then those things won’t let you concentrate on your life’s goals.

Negative self-talk can mask your strengths and highlight your drawbacks, so what side you want to highlight will be in your hands.

7. Find Positive Side Of Your Drawbacks

One of the best methods to overcome your drawbacks is by identifying positivity in your flaws. For instance, you are a shy person, but you are more interested to focus on your work, then you can show your presence at the workplace through your work. And you can also make some extra efforts to overcome your shyness.

8. Learn To Ask For Help When Required

Getting help from a spouse, friends, or family members is natural when you get stuck or feeling bad about your drawbacks, so you can talk to them to seek help. Sometimes, our friends give us a suggestion to overcome flaw but make sure you are talking to that person who is loyal to you and will not misguide you.

Don’t Let Your Flaws hold You Back!

Show to the world and yourself that your drawbacks will never hold you back from achieving your life’s goals. Always move forward and face every challenge that will come your way. Don’t let your flaws affect your mood, accept them, and change them, if necessary. And, the most important thing, accept that perfection and a person without flaw don’t exist. written by Mohit Tandon Chicago
